Viewing the SPAM Score of an Email

You can view the Spam Score of any email you receive by checking that email's message headers. To view an email's message header's in Outlook, use the following steps:

1) In Outlook, double-click on the email you would like to examine to open it in a new window.

2) In the new window, click the File menu.

3) Click the Properties button.

4) The email message headers will be located in a box labelled "Internet headers".

The score can be found on the line "X-Spam-Score". This line is usually located around the middle of the header contents or lower, depending upon the route the email took from the sender to your mailbox.
