What is a Resource Mailbox?

A Resource Mailbox is mailbox is a mailbox representing conference rooms.  Resource mailboxes are useful for managing the schedule of a conference room or auditorium, and allows users to reserve a timeslot in the room when a meeting is created in Outlook or OWA.  This provides a simple and efficient way of utilizing resources in an organization.

 

Resource mailboxes are converted from standard Full Access mailboxes.  A resource mailbox is a billable mailbox and is charged at the same rate as a Full Access mailbox.
