Outlook 2013 System Requirements

 

The following are the minimum system requirements for Outlook 2013.



Processor 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster x86- or x64-bit processor
Memory

32-bit: 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM
64-bit: 2 gigabytes (GB) RAM

Hard Disk 3.0 gigabytes (GB) available
Display DirectX10 supported graphics card and 1024 x 576 or higher resolution
Operating System 32-bit: Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows 8 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012
64-bit: Windows 7 (64-bit only), Windows 8 (64-bit only), Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012
Browser Internet Explorer 8, 9, or 10
.NET version 3.5, 4.0, or 4.5

Please Note:
While these are the Minimum System Requirements as defined by Microsoft, we have found the system resource use of Office 2013 applications to be considerably higher than Office 2010. As a result, we cannot recommend upgrading to Outlook 2013 for users with more moderate computer performance specifications. We will be unable to provide support for any instability or poor performance that is caused by Microsoft's Office applications.
